Apologies for being in English, my German is not too good.
We have a David XL installation on Windows 2003 Server, there are approx 40 client PC's running Win Xp Pro. Its been in place for over 4 years now.
One morning, about 2 years ago, the Tobit InfoCentre (TIC) would hang whilst loading on all of the Client PCs, one PC was left loading overnight and it did load after many hours, one PC that had been left ON with the TIC already loaded continued to work fine until the TIC was closed and it wouldnt load again.. The next day the problem went away so we didnt get to investigate further.
Last week the problem came back with a vengeance and non of the PCs have been able to load the TIC since. There is no error message, DVWIN32.exe sits in memory with about 8500K memory usuage and no CPU use. The TIC client form is not visible.
Faxes are contunuing to come into David fine and Faxes are being sent out from Client PCs fine via the Tobit fax printer driver.
I have tried loading TIC on the Server itself and this also hangs (it used to work).
There is a cold standby backup Server on the Network with the same version of David XL and an identical version of Windows 2003 Server, when pointed at this Server the client PCs TIC does load immediately (it also loads on the backup Server itself).
Has anybody any suggestions what to do next as the users are getting angry?
Help would be much appreciated, thanks.
